Carsharing in the City of Göteborg

Since 2004 Sweco is involved in the development of a carsharing systems in the City of Göteborg were 11 authorities and public companies are members. Apart from these authorities the general public has possibility to use the car pool system. The fleet consists of either bio fuel vehicles, or has other environmental friendly characteristics. When it comes to ITS all vehicles are equipped with ISA and alcohol interlock.

Much of the work undertaken by Sweco has been to coordinate additional project activities related to the implementation of the carsharing system and contribute with knowledge of ISA and alcohol interlock.
