Half of the world’s population lives in cities. Sweco’s architects are equally experts at designing an entirely new Asian city and a small-town school. Whatever project, the focus is on creating ideal environments for people to live, work and thrive in the cities of tomorrow. By combining recognized expertise with a broad range of operations, Sweco’s architects offer a unique and comprehensive view in designing the buildings and landscape of the future.
Sweco has extensive experience of the dialogue process, and takes an integrated approach to the social dimension of our projects. By ensuring a well-planned dialogue process, we give people the opportunity to be involved while also gathering local knowledge from clients or residents. This gives us an understanding of how different environments are used, and builds trust and commitment.
A key component in achieving a successful project is a meaningful dialogue process, which leads to decision-makers and end-users conceiving a mutual goal to work toward. Our experience is that the dialogue process produces greater satisfaction among end-users and a higher quality product.
A dialogue process in which we possess a unique skill is the Design dialogue – one of few dialogue processes that is research-based. The Design dialogue is an interactive design process in which multidisciplinary teams of organisational representatives are invited to join architects and process managers in outlining and designing their future environments and operations.
Sweco’s process managers develop, adapt and customise the processes, to ensure that every client partnership and every assignment is as successful as possible.
