Mattias Goldmann new head of sustainability at Sweco
Mattias Goldmann has been named Chief Sustainability Officer at Sweco and will be part of Sweco Sweden’s management team. Mattias is moving from his most recent role as CEO of the think tank Fores.
Mattias has extensive experience of sustainability issues and was previously CEO of the 2050 organisation (involved in the Haga Initiative) and spokesperson for Gröna Bilister, the Swedish Association of Green Motorists. He has been designated “the most powerful force in Sustainability Sweden” and his CEO role at Fores includes running the 2030 secretariat, which works towards achieving the 2030 target of a fossil-free vehicle fleet.
“There are greater demands being made on us all to find more and quicker ways of fighting climate change so we can transition to a more sustainable society. We help push for change by providing advice to our clients and through the 32,500 assignments we carry out each year, so sustainability is closely tied in to all the business we do. Mattias’s appointment gives us a new head of sustainability with extensive experience in that area, and I look forward to working with him to push forward further with our sustainability agenda, both within Sweco and with our clients and society at large,” says Ann-Louise Lökholm Klasson, CEO of Sweco Sweden.
“Climate and sustainability issues have entered a new phase where changes are actually being implemented and this is where Sweco, with its many different projects in Sweden and across the world, has a central role to play. Sweco’s desire to be a part of the solution impressed me. I am really looking forward to us making a difference in achieving Sweden’s climate targets and the 17 global goals for sustainable development,” says Mattias Goldman, incoming Chief Sustainability Officer at Sweco Sweden.
Mattias will be starting in his new role on 1 October 2019.
